Dassault has unveiled the its newest (and most expensive) private jet design of the decade, the 5X.
The 5X range is smaller than the 7x, its older brother, but has a larger cabin. This cabin is although a bit shorter than the Gulfstream G650’s is wider and taller (1 m98 height).
It is also due to be more fuel efficient than its direct competitors, the Bombardier Global 5000 (by 35%) and the Gulfstream G450 (by 30%).
First flight is due for 2015 and entry in service is due for 2017.
The cabin height is 1m98, 2m58 wide and 11m80 long. It can host up to 16 passengers.
The cabin is lighted by 28 windows bigger than the 7X windows.
The Falcon 5X also brings an industry-first feature: a skylight!
