The Airbus A330 is designed for medium-haul flights with a large passenger numbers or for long-haul flights where a larger plane is not necessary. It was developed at the same time as the four-engined Airbus A340. There are two main variants of the A330, the A330-300 and A330-200.
The A330-300 seats a maximum of 335 passengers in a typical two-class cabin layout, or 280 passengers when configured for three classes. Seat pitch can be adapted. Galleys, lavatories and stowages can be located in different numbers, groupings and locations. In-flight entertainment can be incorporated in the seats or screens mounted on partitions below the overhead stowages. This makes for an almost infinite variety of cabin interiors.
