With a range of 4000nm and a cruising speed of Mach .86 at 45,000ft, the Citation Longitude is Cessna’s answer to a mid-size private jet, featuring Garmin’s latest G5000 flight deck avionics.
The cross-section of the fuselage on the Citation Longitude model will be the same as the Citation Latitude aircraft; however the Longitude will feature a T-shaped tail unlike the Latitude’s conventional tail design.
Cessna announced the Citation Longitude in May 2012 at EBACE, the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition, and are currently predicting the first customer deliveries of the Citation Longitude to take place in late 2017.
The Cessna Longitude is a slightly larger version of the Latitude. It features a much greater range than the Latitude and is capable of flying from London to New York without a fuel stop.
Cessna’s Citation Longitude will feature a fuselage 7 inches shorter and 6 inches narrower than the discontinued Citation Columbus project. The Citation Longitude with feature 31 feet of flat-floor space, providing significantly greater levels of comfort and space inside the cabin.
The advanced cabin management system will give passengers the ability to use touch-screen control panels providing a fully interactive experience.
The Citation Longitude will feature digital inputs and Wi-Fi, with further options for satellite radios, blu-ray players, external cameras and high speed internet connections.
